​​​​The hotel component rises from a 12m height  on the eastern side of the property, maintaining a low  rise scale as it rises from 3 up to 6 floors. The hotel form  merges with the base of an iconic 45 story residential  tower, reaching a height of 150 meters. The form creates  a vertical anchor for the site as a gateway to the old city –  a guardian analogous to the terra cotta soldiers of the Qin  dynasty.
